Showcasing an inspiring selection of fine art photography from established and emerging artists, Lumitrix is the go-to online platform for selecting your new piece of wall candy. From alpine shots to portraiture, Lumitrix has a piece to suit any vibe. We sat down with founder Cara Connell in our Old Spitalfields store, where a small collection of Lumitrix artworks are on display.
Tell me a bit about Lumitrix?
Lumitrix is a fine art photography gallery that has been operating for over six years. We represent photographers from all over the world.
How have you curated your collection?
It’s as simple as when I see an image or an artist that I love, I then show it to the team for their approval.
How do you go about choosing the right piece of art for a space?
I try to draw on elements from the surrounding environment. If the room is paired back and natural we might go for something more organic with a wooden frame, or if it’s colourful and bright we might go for something high gloss. Although it really comes down to a gut reaction.
Do you have an all time favourite photo?
It changes daily but because of it is Chelsea Flower week, my favourite image is ‘Libretto Didele’ by our newest photographer Emilia Petrauskiene.
How can people find and purchase your collection?
We are predominantly online at lumitrix.com, but also exhibit at a variety of art and photography events.
The artworks are available to view at Bailey Nelson Old Spitalfields Market, until the end of June.
